3rd FORESTERRA Steering & Management committee. Kavala, Greece 4 November 2014

FORESTERRA has organized its 3rd Steering & Management committee meeting in Kavala, Greece on 4 November 2014. The objectives of this Steering & Management committee meeting, have been to review recent actions, both administrative and scientific, and, in particular, refine the workplan until the end of the project, in December 2015.

The scientific cooperation among research organizations and the mutual opening of facilities and sharing data promoted within Work Package 4 and the forthcoming mission to California , within the framework of Work Package 6 (Scientific cooperation with other Mediterranean Climate Areas) were presented. Also the joint workshop held in Krakow in July 2014 by the ERA-NETS on Forest Research, FORESTERRA and SUMFOREST was reported

The FORESTERRA Transnational Joint Call of 2013 outcomes has been another issue, with a presentation of the Informed Collaborative project. It was also be discussed the future 2nd FORESTERRA joint call. After the success and the synergies created from the 1st FORESTERRA joint call, the consortium is promoting this new call to enhance the coordination of Mediterranean forest research. Finally, the organisation of the final FORESTERRA conference at the end of 2015 was discussed.
